Nyali CDF sign boards vandalised
By Allan Kai
Nyali residents in Mombasa County, on Sunday woke up to defaced and vandalized NG-CDF sign boards with writings targeted at the area Member of Parliament, Hon. Mohammed Ali, alias Jicho Pevu.
The graffiti on the sign boards basically indicates that the residents are seemingly unhappy with the way the legislator has been handling CDF funding, and they demand that the MP explains where the funds have been directed to.
Recently a number of graffiti writings have been appearing on walls within Kongowea ward tarnishing the name of area MCA, Abrary Omar who is believed to be an ally of the area MP.
According to reports in the media, Hon. Omar alleges that he has been the victim of constant intimidation from people he claims are allied to Mombasa County Governor, Hon. Ali Joho.
This come a few days after it had been claimed that the MCA forwarded information to the Ethics and Anti- Corruption Commission which would hurt the governor’s camp.
Ali and Joho have in recent times been involved in a war of words with the former claiming that the Governor has been misusing public funds and using goons and thugs to intimidate those who decide to speak up against them.
Ali has downplayed the incident claiming that it is a cowardly act and that such politics will not prevail in Nyali. the MCA went ahead and claimed that the truth shall come out in the end and that intimidation will no stop him from dong what is right for the people of Nyali.
