Safaricom PLC has launched a service which is one of a kind across the world over. This is a service which will allow customers to purchase 4G smartphones with easy payment options, ranging from daily, weekly or monthly installments that go to as low as Ksh20 a day.
The service dubbed Lipa Mdogo Mdogo offers customers who meet a simple criteria the chance to enjoy the 4G experience online, while giving up to a maximum of 12 months to repay, and payments being as low as Ksh20 a day!
To add to that, Safaricom is giving incentives to Subscribers who faithfully make their daily payments. Every 7 days, diligent consumers recieve 100MB free YouTube bundles.
How do you qualify?
According to Safaricom’s website, Customers who qualify are between 18 and 75 years of age, who have been using their Safaricom line for at least one year, and have a favorable credit score.
However, if you are blacklisted on KCB M-Pesa, Mshwari, OkoaJahazi and Okoa data or locked due to fraud, you will NOT be able to participate.
Safaricom promises to also help customers keep up with their payments by giving daily alerts as a reminder of the remaining balance.
How do you enroll?
The simple steps to enroll for the LipaMdogoMdogo smart phones begins with dialing *544# and selecting the LipaMdogoMdogo option.
After that you will accept the Terms and Conditions for the service before Safaricom informs you of the devices you can purchase.
When you have decided on the 4G device you want, you will be required to make a down payment through M-Pesa.
Finally you visit your nearest Safaricom shop where your identity will be verified then your device will be set up and you can happily walk out with your device in hand.
